The procedure
Circumcision is performed under local or general anaesthetic as a day-case, typically taking 30–45 minutes. Dissolvable sutures are used and no dressings are usually required.
Recovery
Most men return to office work within a few days and to full activity, including exercise and sexual activity, within four weeks.
